Hello everyone!

Last Monday we had a combination of arts going on -- some continued with an art journal -- we had a new member start hers and it will be a cat journal! It is starting out to be quite cute!

Another member did some decoupage on wood --that was fun to watch and observe the final product! Great Job, B!

This coming Monday we will be making "God's Eyes"! I didn't know what they were until one of members told me -- two sticks with yarn as an artistic expression -- don't you know! My son had given me one years ago and I didn't know the name of it -- I do now. The other fun thing is that on Tuesday I prayed, asking God to bring us some yarn to make these God's Eyes. Guess what! On Wednesday when I went to sew at Love Grows Here two people gave me each about three boxes of yarn! Thank you God!

So, we're starting out the year by having lots of fun. This group is open to anyone living at Mary Hall or Higher Ground.

9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. -- all materials provided, coffee and water also.

Join us -- it's lots of fun!

Greetings!

Arts & Crafts at Higher Ground St Paul has met for twice. The activity included a binder, paper, and lots of ideas. The binder is about 7 x 9" and paper inserted as "pages" that are usually 6" x 8". Each person chooses their own cardstock, whether it is printed or plain. Then, a three hole punch completes the page and it is then inserted into the binder.

Several pages included pockets, some included slits to add pictures, and others included plain paper on which to journal.

Two ladies each made an art journal for an upcoming retreat this coming weekend. They will journal their notes and thoughts.

One person suggested we have a printer to print out pictures that are on their phones -- instead of spending money on a printer and ink, I discovered that Walgreens.com will upload pictures and print them out for $0.23 each! So, next time we meet there will be provided an instruction sheet on how to upload pics to Walgreen, print them out and obtain them. What a find!

That's all for today! More next week.

Be joyful and keep crafting!
